RIP El Niño - 2016

The weather phenomenon known as El Niño has passed. As of this past week, climate indicators have returned back to more neutral levels. Which can mean only one thing... El Niño is gone. Some may dispute whether it was even here in the first place.* 

Nonetheless, it had quite a reputation. Mostly from its 97-98  El Niño relative. But even with all the hype, it couldn't live up to its expectations. It certainly gave the best it had, delivering various storms and blizzards, and still leaving behind a drought.

We tip our hats to you El Niño as we make way and prepare for your counterpart La Niña.
